2013 Christmas Cards

I waited to post these until after Christmas so that those who received them would still be surprised. (lol)
I decided to use an old CTMH stamp set (B1313 Merry Pursuits).  I love the little elves and they reminded me of my boys.  Using Copic markers (0, R29, G05, E50, B00, Y08, B24, 100) to color them in.  I then used my 2 1/8" Fiskars punch, to punch them out.
I wanted to use the Mosaic Moments RTC (ready to cut) paper for my cards and these images fit just perfect.  And the final product was that much easier since I already had plenty of 1" squares precut (see previous blog post).
They went together quick and easy, I mounted each RTC card to coordinating paper and adhered to the front of a card.

 Copic Markers Used:
0- over stamped image
100-ice skate legs
B00- highlight on snowballs
R29 & G05- elves clothes
E50- skin
Y08 & B24 Christmas lights

So, getting my scrapping area organized and put away for the holidays, I decided to tackle those bins of paper scraps that I can't bear to throw away.  I know I can use them for something, I tell myself frequently.  So I sat down last night to watch ABC Family's 25 days of Christmas movie and took out my 1" square punch and Ta-Da! 3-bins to 1 case.  I am so ready for more mosaic moments projects, my 1" squares are already cut and sorted by color!
Did I mention that I have been selected for the 2014 Mosaic Moments Design Team?!  I found out last week and have been overjoyed!  I can't wait to get started.  I will be posting my MMDT2014 challenges here as well as Journella (http://www.journella.com/ ) and our Scrappigators site and facebook page, so keep your eyes open for further posts!

So I decided on Thanksgiving day to challenge myself to take pictures and finish a 2-page Mosaic Moments layout.  I was up, caffeinated and inspired!  I had put together the layout probably 2 years ago without journaling or pictures, with just November inspired colors.  Needless to say I finished.  I put the final touches on it today and it's ready to post!  I left early Friday morning for a 2 day shopping trip with my mom and sister, otherwise I would have finished in less then 24 hrs.  Enjoy!

July Mosaic Moments Kit

So the Scrappigators (www.scrappigators.com) are now putting out Mosaic Moments page kits.  This is our first one for July.  I had a great time putting this one together using White Mosaic Moments grid paper and blue and red card stock from my stash.  I also used the Summer Celebrations Cricut cartridge for the embellishments.  The kits will sell for $12 each and can be ordered on our website.

What to do with all that great Washi Tape! I featured this project at the Stamping by the Sea Friday Night Dessert Make and Take on April 5, 2013.   Using all the wonderful Washi Tape that I've collected I decorated a large binder clip with different tapes and then tied an 8" ribbon towards the top to keep the clip closed when I slide in the decorated tag.  Also a great idea to hold a photo, recipe card or project card.  Enjoy!

Wow!  Have we (the Scrappigators) been busy this first quarter of the year.  We have been gone 2 to 3 weekends a month, and my New Years resolution to keep up my blog has truely suffered!  So as I sit here printing out new business cards (thats how busy we've been, I'm out) I figured I would check in on the blog.  This weekend I am heading to Ocean City, MD for the Stamping by the Sea Convention being heald at the Carousel Hotel.  I will be teaching a great Mosaic Moments class featuring cornerstones on Friday Morning at 9am.  There is a few seats left so sign up online or at the event. http://www.seasidestampin.com/sbs.html  I have a Great! I love these mini tag books!  They go together pretty quickly.  I make them with empty toilet paper rolls.  You can either cover them with paper or paint with acrylic paints.  This kit is currently available for $6.00.  The kit includes: step by step directions with photos, 3-paper rolls, 5 tags, colored card stock, 1-stamp set (may vary per kit), multiple ribbons and fibers, embellishments: buttons, brads, stickers, gems, titles, heart lattice (may vary per kit) and binder clips.  {other theme ideas below}

Back to Life!

Wow how time can really fly!  I can't believe it has been since April that I have blogged.  The last 8 months have been... let's just say they are over and it is a new year!  Family drama (resolved), my father fell off the roof and broke his back (surgery and recovery), sister-in-law passed away (home with the Lord), supper storm Sandy... I could go on but why.  One of my New Years resolutions was to get back to blogging so it begins tonight.  I just finished making my card kit and mini tag book kit for Valentines day and the make and take for this weekends crop.  WHEW!  I will be posting pictures and info.  Stay tuned for lots of good things to come this year.  Thanks to all who have seen me thru the hard times.  The Lord has truely blessed me!  May he Bless you all!
